Derek and Jackie Payne of Fish et Frites
Derek and Jackie Payne have lived with their three children in the Limousin since May 2005. Very soon after arriving we realised that we would need to do something to be able to stay here and so the idea of a mobile Fish and Chip van evolved.
Fish et Frites was formed to satisfy a need in the market that was first noticed by us in the summer of 2004 when we took a family holiday in the area. Now we are entering our third year we pride ourselves on giving a professional but personal friendly service in local towns.
Since the business started it has gone from strength to strength and it is heartening to see the appreciation afforded us when we arrive in what are sometimes relatively small French villages, we are always made very welcome and indeed well supported wherever we go.
We do not wish to overcomplicate our menu as we feel keeping things simple is the best way for us to offer a quality product time and time again. This way our customers know what they are getting every time and return again and again.
We thoroughly enjoy our work as we know French and English alike are grateful for the service we offer. And at the end of the day it is enabling us to stay in this wonderful country.
