Hello and welcome to Fish et Frites.
An English run mobile Fish and Chip shop in the heart of France.
Our aim is simple: to import a traditional taste direct from the UK and, in order to achieve this, our menu focuses around the time honoured Fish and Chip Shop.
All our meals are freshly cooked to order and offered at reasonable prices. Choose from an Icelandic freshly filleted cod (minimum size 200g) coated in crispy beer batter, 100% Cod Bites – suggested for children who enjoy fish, Wholetail Scampi, English Sausages either plain or battered, and not forgetting the popular well known range of Pukka Pies - we don’t compromise!
We produce our own chips just as you would find in any Fish and Chip shop using Maris Piper potatoes which we import from England. Add a portion of mushy peas or curry sauce and there you have a tasty reminder of the Great British Fish and Chip Takeaway as you remember it!
New to our Fish and Chip shop menu for 2010 we have Black Pudding and Haggis. Battered, deep fried and served with chips, these offer a great alternative to a fish supper.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent quality, freshly cooked cod and chips with a friendly service at a town convenient for you. Currently the business can be found serving well prepared takeaway meals at various places throughout the Haute Vienne, including Le Dorat, St Sulpice les Feuilles, St Leger Magnazeix, Lussac les Eglises, Thiat and Liglet. At every venue we work in conjunction with a local Bar so you can eat your Fish and Chips in comfort whilst enjoying a drink – we even serve you at your table. We have an extra date this month: Sunday 8th August, a Journée Artistique Litteraire Artisanale,
at Bronzeaux Priory near St Leger Magnazeix, which will be a great day out for all the family.
Bronzeaux Priory is a 12th century Priory the last remaining in the Limousin. There will be lots going on throughout
the day including paintings, books, local artisans, live music. Fish et Frites will be serving from 11.00am, and there will be a bar and
ice-creams.
Entrance is 2,00 euros including guided tour, children are free.
The event will be signposted from St Leger Magnazeix and runs from 9.00am - 7.00pm.
We usually cater for the Vide Grenier at St Leger Magnazeix which this year is on 15th August. However, we are unable
to do so this year and catering at the event will be provided by Le Snack Shack.

We also cater for private occasions, having served Fish and Chips at many functions and parties with great success. If you are interested in holding a fish and chip supper night to celebrate a birthday or anniversary then why not give us a call?
